There are some more considerations that you should give some thought. For instance, if you live in a windy area, side-by-side double baby strollers will be a bit harder to wheelaround due to the larger surface area of the stroller. So if you’re a bit on the weak side you’ve been warned! Well, you’re not going to get arms like Hulk Hogan, but your arm and core strength may be improved.
After a few days, you should be completely comfortable strolling around. It’s not really a downside, actually!

Sometimes, parents of a single child decide to get a double baby stroller. The reasons for this are varied; If another baby comes along a year or two after getting the stroller, another one need not be purchased.

In the meantime, the extra seat can be used to take along more gear! 1 (3)The space will certainly come in handy. For example, a large bottle of water can be stored on the vacant seat. In other situations, this bottle could hurt the parent’s shoulders and may not fit in the storage compartments offered by the baby stroller.

Twin strollers should sport fully reclining seats for both occupants. This makes them more usable for twin newborns. Here we can illustrate where some double baby strollers fall short.

For instance, tandem strollers will usually result in some distress for a newborn sitting in front, as the seat doesn’t fully recline. Only the rear seat is expected to fully recline in a tandem configuration.1 (1)

Despite popular interchange of the names, double and twin strollers are not the same thing. A twin baby stroller is usually marketed to parents with kids of the same age (or roughly the same age and weight).

A double baby stroller accommodates infants of different ages and weights. This is the main difference, but know that most double baby stroller configurations suit kids of the same age as well. But twin baby strollers should be chosen for their specific utility: ensuring kids of the same age/weightare as comfortable as they possibly could be.
